Microsoft Recognitions
- Selected to participate in worldwide case study for launch of Windows Small Business Server 2003 and Office Systems 2003. Ross-Tek was one of six Microsoft partners worldwide selected to participate in the launch of Office and Windows Small Business Server 2003.
- Invited as guest speaker at 2003 Worldwide Partner Conference in New Orleans, LA to present Ross-Tek case study clients, Advanced Pediatrics and Chess Financial Corp. Presented at three separate sessions for the Office and Small Business Server teams.
- Invited to the official worldwide launch of Office Systems 2003 in New York, NY to showcase video case study of Advanced Pediatrics. Ross-Tek's video was the opening preview to Microsoft's Chief Software Architect, Bill Gates keynote address and closing remarks.
- Participated in ROI (return on investment) white paper produced by Forbes in conjunction with Microsoft. The paper quantifies ROI through use of both traditional quantitative methods and user evaluation during the use of Windows Small Business Server 2003.
- Selected to serve on the Microsoft Great Lakes Advisory Council. The council is comprised of local, leading Microsoft Partners selected by Microsoft Partner Managers that have consistently shown the value in serving their respective markets and building the relationship between partner, customer, and vendor.
- Participated in developing the first Microsoft Certified
Professional exam specifically for technology professionals
servicing small and medium-sized businesses. One of eight

- In 2004, Ross-Tek was awarded the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award for Windows Small Business Server. One of thirty-three selected worldwide for this distinction and the first African-American recipient. The MVP Award was established by Microsoft more than nine years ago as a way to award amazing individuals for their outstanding contributions in a wide range of community activities. From newsgroups to top user groups, websites and message boards worldwide, MVP status is awarded to the most active online community “gurus” for their technical expertise, voluntary willingness to share their experience and commitment to helping others realize their potential within Microsoft technical communities.
- Selected as a participant in the Microsoft Technology Adoption Program Microsoft Solutions for Small & Medium Business - Small IT Solution v 1.1 The Microsoft Solutions for Small & Medium Business program provides prescriptive guidance on planning, building, operating, and supporting end-to-end integrated information technology (IT) solutions for small and medium businesses. The program consists of the following four solutions, each designed for different small and medium business market segments:
- Peer-To-Peer IT Solution
- Small IT Solution
- Medium IT Solution
- Large IT Solution

- Invited as a guest speaker at the 2004 Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto, Ontario. Co-presented the Microsoft Office Marketing Team session entitled, "Developing a Business Practice around Microsoft Office 2003 for Small and Mid-Sized Businesses”. One of thirty-two Microsoft Partners selected worldwide to present at the Worldwide Partner Conference. The conference had over 9500 attendees representing every country.
- Invited as a guest speaker for a town-hall session at the 2004 Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto, Ontario for Windows Small Business Server. The town hall session featured leading Small Business Server consultants, Curtis Hicks, CCR of Detroit, Arlin Sorensen, Heartland Technologies, Harlan, IA, and Matthew Dickerson, AXXIS Corp, Australia.

- In 2004, Ross-Tek was appointed to serve on the Microsoft Channel Advisory Council for Small Business Server North America. The Channel Advisory Council is a select group of Microsoft partners that works closely with Microsoft product and management teams to provide guidance on key issues that ultimately shape Microsoft’s strategy for delivering customer solutions and services to small and medium businesses in North America.
